The incredibly high cost of this Bladefin Basslet is due to the incredible depth at which is occurs, which is in excess of 150 meters, approaching 500 feet deep.

However, more fascinating are their inabilities to hunt and are the mostly suitable to be handfed.

No. 1 on the list. This fish has a value of approximately $100,000. Furthermore, it is so valuable that a micro ID chip is implanted into it before it reaches sexual maturity hence making it easier identify and authenticate it. They can reach a size of about 35 inches and they can live for as much as 50 years. They are intelligent with the ability to recognize individuals and they can be trained to be hand-fed.
